As a devout Catholic, she taught me more than right from wrong; she demonstrated not only the depths of love, but the power of forgiveness, to others and to myself. More importantly, my mother taught me the power of prayer in my daily life; Mom’s most endearing quality, of course, was her love and faith in the Lord Jesus. As a faithful Catholic all her life, faith was far more than a one hour a week experience at Mass on Sunday. Her Catholic faith and her abiding love for the Lord in the Eucharist was the center of her life and shaped who she was for all of us—which adds some comfort to those of us who knew her best, knowing that she is finally resting peacefully in the arms of her Savior. On Monday, December 7, 2020—the hearts of West Texans broke as our mother, sister, aunt, friend and Teaching Assistant, where she worked for the Lubbock Independent School District for over 30 years passed from this life; gifting the rest of us all with her greatest life-legacy lessons to use: Prayer, Unconditional Love and the Power of Forgiveness!Family is receiving friends on Friday, December, 11, 2020 beginning at Ten O’clock in the morning at Lake Ridge Chapel & Memorial Designers.
