It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Leonard L. Fallin, affectionately known as “Pop” and “Pawpaw,” who departed this world naturally on May 26, 2025, at the age of 88. Leonard was born on August 26, 1936, in O’Donnell, Texas, and spent his life helping his family and community.
Leonard will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering trustworthiness, and a spirit that was often ornery yet filled with love. He was a dedicated mechanic, spending many fulfilling years with Gene Messer Ford, where his practical skills and dependable nature shone brightly. He embraced a steadfast work ethic that inspired all who knew him.
Leonard is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Kathy Fallin, as well as his cherished children: Viva Rister, Jo Manske, Mike Fallin, Sabrina Shelley, Kristi Fallin, and Nikki Bailey. He was the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, each of whom he loved deeply. He also leaves behind his brother Sidney Fallin, sister Carolyn Walker, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Leonard had a unique passion for shelling pecans, a pastime that brought joy to him and those he shared it with. His faithful and loving nature will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
Visitation services will be held at Lake Ridge Chapel and memorial designers on May 30, 2025, beginning at 5:00 PM. Services will be held at South Plains Church of Christ (6802 Elkhart Ave) on May 31, 2025 at 2 pm.
As we remember Leonard L. Fallin, let us celebrate the legacy of love, kindness, and strength he leaves behind—a true testament to a life well-lived. His spirit will carry on through the many lives he touched.
