Lauren Schoepf’s family will celebrate her life of 32 years at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 8, 2021, at Bacon Heights Baptist Church. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Sunday, February 07, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. She passed on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. In support of the health of the family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the service. The service will be live-streamed on this page, where you are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy.On August 27, 1988, Lauren was born to Donald and Donna Neel in Lubbock, Texas. She married her best friend and love of her life Justin Schoepf on January 5, 2008, at Oakwood Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas.Lauren grew up in Lubbock, graduating from Frenship High School in 2005. She attended Lubbock Christian University, earning her Bachelor of Science in 2008 and a Master’s of Education in 2010. Lauren’s teaching career included service in several rural communities, Muleshoe, Hale Center, Cooper, and then to Monterey High. Then in 2015, Lauren pursued her calling to be a nurse, graduating from Covenant School of Nursing as the Valedictorian of her class in 2018. She began her nursing career at Covenant’s High-Risk Antepartum unit caring for moms and their families experiencing pregnancy complications. Lauren and Justin’s own personal experience with infertility and her High-Risk Antepartum knowledge prepared her for her final and most rewarding nursing career, working with Dr. Jennifer Phy, Dr. Jaou-Chen Huang, their staff, and patients at The Texas Tech University Health Science Center for Fertility and Reproductive Surgery.Lauren’s true passion in life was her love for Christ, Justin, Nolan, family, and service to others. She was a member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church, serving as a couple’s Sunday School leader. She loved watching Nolan play sports, especially baseball. Her most precious daily routine was reading and rocking Nolan at bedtime and then spending quality time with her best friend, Justin.Survivors include her husband, Justin Schoepf; their son, Nolan Schoepf; her parents, Donald and Donna Neel; her siblings, Christopher Neel, Hunter (Amy) Neel, and Becca Neel. Lauren is also survived by her nephews and niece, Braxton, Branson, and Brylin Neel, her aunts, uncles and cousins, Justin’s family; his parents Rusty and Tonya Schoepf, Kim Daniels; his Papa, Jack Daniels; his grandparents, Jerry Glenn and Lou Ann Smith; his siblings, Austin and Katrina Schoepf, Ronnie Lynch and Heath Schoepf, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.Lauren is preceded in death by her grandparents; Don and Johnnie Rogers, Dorman and Dorothy Neel, and her cousin, Nathan Neel.
