Larry Sides

October 21, 1939 - September 16, 2018

Larry Darden Sides passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 78 years on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel. A tribute of Larry’s life may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family.

A lifelong resident of Lubbock, Larry was born on October 21, 1939 to Thomas and Helen (Aycock) Sides. Larry graduated from Monterey High School. On July 25, 1981 he married Georgia Annette Hightower. Larry owned and operated Sides Printing and Performance Label Company. He was an active member of LakeRidge United Methodist Church. Larry enjoyed many outdoor sports including hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a member of Hillcrest and LakeRidge County Clubs as well as the Bass Club. Larry and Annette enjoyed traveling in their RV across the country and Friday night dinners with friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Sides.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Annette Sides; brother, Thomas Sides; step-son, Terry Lee Smith and wife, Linda of Boise, ID; daughter, Roxanne Butcher and husband, Kirk of Shallowater; son, Ross Sides and wife, Leah of Lubbock; four granddaughters: Misty Sides, Melissa Sides, Sarah Butcher, and Rachel Butcher.
