Larry Newman

April 16, 1958 - June 26, 2018

Larry Waylan Newman passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 60 years on Monday, July 2, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers with reception to follow. 

Larry was born on April 16, 1958, to the late Waylan and Nelda (Barton) Newman in Groom, TX. Larry graduated from Lubbock High School, where he was involved in choir and sports. He then went on to work in the grocery and siding business. Larry was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan! He enjoyed watching Texas Tech sports, playing dominoes, and bingo.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Alicia Cox and husband B.J., and son, Jason Newman all of Lubbock; sister, Ann Hepburn and husband, Mark of San Antonio; grandchildren, Madison, Kinzley and Harper Cox, and Kaiden and Kyler Newman; and uncles, Kenneth Newman and wife Irma of Memphis, Don Newman and wife Georgia of Garland, and Jim Newman and wife Jeannie of Mesquite.
