A service to celebrate the life of Kimberly Ann Burt is scheduled at 10:00 am on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, followed by a time of fellowship with family and friends. Kim was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, January 28, 2023 after a brief battle with lung cancer. Please visit www.memorialdesigners.net for a service broadcasting schedule, floral purchasing and an area to share stories with family.
Kim was born October 19, 1957, to the late Ray and Joanna Johnson. She attended and graduated Lubbock School of Vocational Nursing in 1980. She spent her career in nursing and home health, caring for others until retirement along with loving her granddaughters and granddogs. She enjoyed antiquing, watching sporting events, gardening and had a love for animals and music.
Kim is survived by a son, Donny (Heather) Garrison; granddaughters, Jadon Garrison, Mackenzie Garrison, and Bailee Garrison; sisters, Beverly Petty, and Sherry Thomas; and a brother, Glen Johnson along with an extended family and friends whom she cared deeply for. While those of us who are left behind will miss her dearly we take comfort in the fact that she is healed and in the presence of God and look forward to the day we will see her again. Donations in her memory can be made to the American Lung Association.
The family would like to thank the Covenant Palliative Care Team for creating comfort to her and family in her last days.
