Kevin Ray Barnes was born September 4, 1970, to Kenneth and Phyllis Sipes Barnes in El Paso, TX. He married Stacie Mangum on November 15, 2003, at Raintree Christian Church in Lubbock, TX. Kevin grew up in Lubbock, TX, graduated from Monterey High School and obtained his degree from Texas Tech University. He was always proud to be a Red Raider even when they frustrated him! Once married, we enjoyed traveling, having fun, and just laughing together. Then we had children which became his proudest achievements. He was the boys’ teacher, coach, supporter of all their activities, always patient to show them how to do the “manly” things, a comedian, and always sharing his love for them. He was very sentimental saving or journaling all the memories of our family activities. Kevin was the best man, son, husband, father, and friend to us.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Stacie Barnes; parents, Kenneth, and Phyllis Barnes; children, William Kevin Barnes, Alexander Lee Barnes; siblings, Kelly Barnes, Alison (Rory) Tierney; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his daughters, Bridgette Belle Barnes, and Kennedy Rose Barnes.
