Kevin today would have been your 70th birthday I bet you would have liked going to breakfast or had some Mexican food, or maybe egg salad sandwich Jen would take to you. Thinking of you today, talk at you later, we hear that in our minds . ❤️🎂

As a TDCJ co-worker of Kevin's for the few years we were honored to have him, Kevin was an amazing mind, great team player and wonderful story teller. After he left, he would call me consistently at work, have me rolling with a funny story, and have to go. He greatly admired his father and loved his family. My condolences on his passing. He left many memories for those that got to know him.

I am sorry to hear about Kevin's death, I worked with him at Texas Dept of Criminal Justice IT dept for a long time. Great guy, who kept us laughing in good and bad times. Best practical joker ever! He will be greatly missed.

I am very sorry for your loss. I was Kevin’s manager at the City and we remained friends through the years. Kevin was extremely intelligent and kind. He was admired and respected by his colleagues. He was a wonderful man and I will miss his friendship.

I met Kevin 41 years ago. We quickly became friends sharing jokes and love of all things beer. He always had a ton of great jokes and told them perfectly...always getting a huge laugh. However, it only made Kevin laugh when I told a joke and totally messed it up.. usually I forgot the punch line. I will miss my beautiful friend. I am so grateful for the years of friendship that we had. When I moved to California and Kevin found out that I was driving my new Toyota truck with all of my posessions in the truck bed. It was my first new car and he was there as I drove it on that first day. He told me that my friends from The Draught House pitched in to get me a hard shell for my truck to make it safer and keep my stuff from flying out of the back of the truck. I think he paid for it himself and that made it even more special to me. Kevin was an incredible friend to me. We both knew we had each other's back and would always be there for each other, and we were, for over 40 years. I loved him and will miss him.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

So sad to hear of Kevin’s passing, he was a good man and a true friend.I met Kevin in the early eighty’s at the Draught House Pub in Austin Texas where he was a regular and a large presence. He always bellied up to the bar in the same spot with his back to the door, but facing the mirror behind the bar where he could see every person come in. There was a worn spot on the edge of the wooden bar where he rested his elbow. Those were glory days with many good friends, a special time in my life , and Kevin was central to that scene. He was famous for telling the absolute worst irreverent jokes, no subject was safe or sacred. When responding to one of his particularly tasteless jokes with a groan, he would give a satisfied smile and say “thank you, thank you very much”. Kevin was generous to a fault and referred to money as “ fun coupons”. After the Draught House Days, I didn’t see Kevin very often, but kept in touch with the occasional phone call and the ever present bad jokes. We reconnected in Kyle where we both lived and had some good times in his last years, going to dinners , lunches, getting Covid shots… I visited him in Lubbock when traveling through the Panhandle. Kevin was a big man with a big heart, a gentle man, and a loyal friend. You knew he had your back. He would get a little steamed when he thought someone in his circle was being mistreated or disrespected. He was a good man I will miss him Sail on Kevin! Your friend , Terry
