Obituary

Kenneth Don Byrd was born on January 12, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas to Olden Everett and Mary Evelyn Byrd.

Kenneth has always had a lighthearted look on life. He was a prankster and loved to laugh. He loved watching old westerns and especially anything with John Wayne.

There were two highlights of his professional career. The first was working in Law Enforcement. He was extremely proud of working in the criminal justice system. The second highlight was being an inspector for TX Department of Transportation. He enjoyed building bridges most.

He was an avid fisherman. He loved bass tournaments as well as being a fishing guide.

Kenneth loved animals and especially his dogs and treated them like babies. In recent years, he loved feeding and watching hummingbirds as well as feeding the foxes that lived in the backyard.

Kenneth Byrd passed away on May 19, 2019 in Nocona, Texas.
