Judy Lentz McMeans

Judy grew up in the Sparenberg Community, where she attended school at Klondike ISD until her family moved to Lamesa, where she graduated from Lamesa High School in 1963. Judy moved to Lubbock, where she met her husband, Tom McMeans, and they were married on January 26, 1977.  They celebrated 48 years of wonderful memories.  Judy began her career at American State Bank, where she served in several capacities, including Board Secretary. After 21 years of service, she began a second career at Cherry Air, an aviation company in Addison, Texas, where she served as an Executive Assistant.  Judy and Tom resided for many years in the Fort Worth area before retiring to Lubbock.

Judy was an avid art collector and was a member of the Ranching and Heritage Center. She loved attending all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s events, from performances to sporting events.

Judy is survived by her husband Tom McMeans, children, Kent ( Tracey ) Leatherwood, Todd ( Dana ) Leatherwood; grandchildren, Taylor ( Brandon ) McIntire, Brady ( Mallory ) Leatherwood, Tessa ( Kris ) McCune, Corrie Leatherwood;  great-grandchildren, Hudson McIntire, Boston McIntire, Landon Leatherwood, Avery Leatherwood, Mattias McCune, Colton McCune: sibling, Ron ( Jan ) Lentz.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Verna Lee Lentz; sister, Ann Leslie.
