Judy Hempel was born on January 1, 1949, to the late Howard and Oleta (Holt) Gwinn in Matador, TX. She graduated from Matador High School and attended South Plains College. On September 12, 1970, she married Bob in Levelland, Texas. Judy was an Assistant Vice President for Capital Farm Credit for twenty-five years in Levelland and Lubbock.  She was a member of Christian Life Assembly of God, and she enjoyed playing the piano and singing. Judy is survived by her loving husband, Bob Hempel; son, Greg Hempel and wife Kathryn of Odessa; daughter, Starla Sessums and husband Richard of Welch; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, Steve (Beth) Gwinn of Lubbock, and Dannie (Carrie) Gwinn of Seymour.
