Juanita was born on May 12, 1921, to the late Cecil and Lydia (Abbott) Bible in McLean, TX. Juanita’s parents moved to Canyon when she was a young child so that she had a better opportunity for a good education. She graduated from Canyon High School and attended West Texas State University. Juanita went to visit her sister after the birth of a baby in Oklahoma and met the love of her life, Calvin Neal. They were married on Dec. 7, 1941, in Canyon. They farmed in Oklahoma after they married and moved to Smyer in 1958 to continue farming. Along with helping Calvin with the farm, Juanita enjoyed keeping her garden, cooking, and canning. She volunteered at the church and was a very active member involved with WMU where she served as District Director. She taught GA’s, Sunday school, VBS, and she loved making plaster of Paris plaques. Many can say of Juanita that her maiden name was Bible and she lived it every day, which brought many to know Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and three sisters. Juanita is survived by four children; Lynn (Rita) Neal of Smyer, Ronnie (Lou Ann) Neal of Smyer, Cecilia (Dell) Knight of Tokio, and Ricky (Judy) Neal of Smyer, eleven grandchildren: Debbie, Terry, Tonya, Amanda, Ashley, Robert, Rustin, Jessica, Jason, Erika and Calvin; eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, Smyer, Texas.
