Juanita C. Medellin

Juanita went into Jesus’ loving arms on July 5, 2025 at the age of 73. Juanita was born on October 15, 1951 to Ramon and Demetria Contreras in Knippa, TX.

She was a hard working mom. She started working at a very young age. Her and her family were field workers. As she got older she stayed home and took care of her children. Later in life she worked as a caregiver taking care of the elderly. She loved all the residents she took care of. She then moved on to do custodial work. Where the teachers and principals loved her so much. She retired in 2019.

She was a loving mother, mother in law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, tia and friend.

She is survived by her children Rosie Salas (Manuel), Elizabeth Medellin (Cowboy), Toni Hayes (Joseph) and Daniel Hernandez (Susana). Her sisters and brothers Ramona Alonzo (Speedy), Armando Contreras (Josie), Roger Contreras (Rochelle), Maria Martinez, Lionel Contreras (Felis), Gloria Dominguez (Bobby) and Chris Contreras.

Juanita has 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great grandson on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, 3 brothers, 3 nephews and a niece. Last but not least her most precious daughter Delores Margaret Medellin.

Pall bearers will be Enrique Salas, Tristen Trevino, Sean Trevino, Isaiah Banks, Zachary Trevino and Gregg Alonzo.
