Joyce Ruth Stoneking

The family of Joyce Ruth Stoneking will celebrate her life of 79 years at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 12, 2021, at Garden of Memories, Sweetwater, TX. She passed on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. You are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy here on this page.Joyce, better known as Memaw, was truly a caretaker in every sense of the word.  From babysitting her younger brother, James, to spending weekends spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Joyce spent most of her life looking after others.  She spent the majority of her career as a Registered Nurse working with the elderly.  Some of Joyce’s best days were spent in the Four Corners area traveling with the love of her life, her husband Bob.  Memaw will be fondly remembered for her cooking, back scratches, and devotion to her family.  Her family takes comfort in knowing Joyce is now celebrating for eternity with her beloved husband, Bob, and younger son, Daniel.Those left to cherish her memory are her son, David (Donna) Riley; grandchildren, Danielle (Eric) Geiser, Amanda (Rex) Headrick, Lindsey Petrie, Beau (Lauren) Riley; great-grandchildren, Lucy Riley, Michael Riley, Jacob Geiser, Sean Geiser, and Jax Headrick; a brother, James (Vicki) Brown; a sister, Verna May Kilpatrick; daughter-in-law, Louanna Petrie; her children’s father, Jerry Riley; and step-daughters, Pam Cook (Jesse) and Christi Stoneking.
