She graduated high school and married Michael J. Pitifer at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX. Moving to Lubbock in the 1950’s, she worked in accounting at Ralston Purina for a number of years. She was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church.Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth (Leonard) Williams, and son, Tony Pitifer; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth WestShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael Pitifer, Sr.; sons, Michael Pitifer, Jr. and James Pitifer; and a sister, Valerie West.
