Oh my heart hurts for the loss of these beautiful souls. I had the pleasure of teaching Conrad when he was 3/4 and he was an absolute joy. He had a smile and personality that lit up the room. Joni was by far one of my favorite parents to ever encounter. Prayers for their family and loved ones. Gone, but never forgotten.

Will Warren left a message on September 10, 2022:
Joni was so special to me growing up. I felt like she was a sister to me. When I visited her in Chicago in 1999, I had just moved to Austin and she was just beginning her career as a Flight Attendant. She invited me to fly on one of her Buddy Passes, and I immediately accepted. During that weekend, we spent time stomping all around Chicago laughing, remembering our days in Floydada and just enjoying each other’s company. One afternoon we popped into a pub and grabbed a couple of drinks. ‘Come on Eileen’ came on the jukebox and Joni screamed, “This is my song!!” I’ll never forget dancing with her and will always remember her vivacious personality and zest for life when I hear that song. Joni, I will miss you forever and I know you will be one of the faces that greets me at The Pearly Gates when it’s my time to go.

Rest in eternal peace, Joni, alongside your dearest son, Conrad 💗💙. We only met you and your lovely children the once, just recently in the UK. Your two boys so handsome, polite and respectful.
