Johnny Dean was born on March 1, 1952, to James (Jimmy) Edward and Joyce LaRue McGuire in Clovis, New Mexico. On April 15, 1971, Johnny married the love of his life,Cecelia (Cela) Charisse Gravestock at Arnett Benson Baptist Church in Lubbock,Texas.
He was an active member of Broadview Baptist Church where he served on severalcommittees. He always worked with his hands as a mechanic or carpenter and could fix anything. He enjoyed family gatherings and was a loving “Paw Paw” to his four grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Cela McGuire; their children, Jonathan Adair McGuire and wife, Hilary; Lindsey Charisse Houston and husband, Rusty; grandchildren, Kayla Fox, Meagan Fox, Jaycee McGuire, Connor McGuire; siblings, James McGuire and wife, Peggy; Janet Thetford and husband, Stephen; Jackie Combs and husband, Donnie; and Jerry McGuire and wife, Jodie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Joyce McGuire.
