In the gentle embrace of dawn, as the world awakens with soft whispers of life, the memory of Jocelyn Paige Roberts, a vibrant ten-year-old, continues to inspire and uplift the hearts of all who knew her. Born into a loving family with parents Brandon and Natalie, her siblings Kaden, Kaleigh, and Malorie, and cherished by her paternal grandparents Mike and Sandra Roberts, and maternal grandparents Joe and Vicki Johnson, Jocelyn’s life was a testament to joy, service, and youthful exuberance.

Jocelyn was a child who found immense pleasure in learning. Her days at Cooper East Elementary School were filled with laughter and curiosity, especially during her favorite science and math classes. Her intelligence shone brightly, much like the stars she adored in the night sky. With a song in her heart, she graced the school talent show with her angelic voice, leaving melodies that would linger long in the corridors of her school.

Beyond the classroom, Jocelyn embraced a life of activity and purpose. At the young age of eight, she joined Premier Martial Arts, and with a determined spirit, she achieved the red advanced belt. Her discipline and strength were mirrored in her involvement with American Heritage Girls, where friendships blossomed amid camping trips and hiking adventures. Jocelyn’s love for the outdoors was profound, finding joy in the rush of riding dirt bikes and the tranquility of nature’s embrace.

Her commitment to her faith was unwavering. Jocelyn gave her life to Jesus Christ on June 1, 2021, and followed in obedience through baptism. She was a beacon of light in AWANAS and the Good News Club, where her servant’s heart brought smiles and hope to many.

Tragically, Jocelyn’s journey on earth concluded much sooner than anyone could have anticipated. Yet, in her brief time, she sowed seeds of love, courage, and faith that will flourish in the lives of those she touched. As we gather to celebrate her life, let us hold onto the words of Matthew 19:14, “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'” Jocelyn now dances in the eternal joy and light of God’s love, where no shadow can touch her.

To Brandon, Natalie, Kaden, Kaleigh, Malorie, Mike, Sandra, Joe, Vicki, and all her beloved family, remember Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Jocelyn’s spirit, a radiant flame of God’s creation, remains with us, guiding and comforting through the boundless love she shared.

For we know with assurance that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, we must let her sojourn on this earth remind us to cherish each moment, to love fiercely, and to serve kindly. In the laughter of her siblings, the blossoming of flowers she once tended, and the echoes of her songs in the breeze, Jocelyn Paige Roberts lives on, a forever light in the hearts she touched, an everlasting legacy of a life beautifully lived.

My fondest memory of Jocelyn was in American heritage girls when she would come up and talk to me, and her smile and how sweet she was I loved her personality she always made me laugh and was super sweet.

Jocelyn Roberts was a remarkable girl. She was so sweet and such a great Christian she loved the Lord so much which is just really wonderful. She is my friend and one of my best friends. She was so fast she was like lightning. She is just so kind and just such an amazing person.

Dear Brandon and Natalie, and all of the family that is hurting. There are no words that are adequate to express the pain of losing such a precious daughter so soon in life. May precious Jocelyn rest in Jesus' arms and may her joy be overwhelmingly abundant as she looks at Jesus' beautiful face filled with His love for her. Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. This little poem was given to me and my family when we were grieving. I hope it brings you comfort too. "I'll lend you for a little time, a child of mine," He said. "For you to love the while she lives, and mourn when she is dead. It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three, But will you, till I call her back, take care of her for Me? "I cannot promise she will stay, since all from earth return, But there are lessons taught down here I want this child to learn. I know the Robert's family. My son played with her a few times. I send my condolences and prayers.

We were so shocked and saddened to learn about Jocelyn’s passing. No doubt your pain is unimaginable. But we rejoice with you that she is with our Lord, experiencing a life that we cannot comprehend right now but will someday. We moved to Pennsylvania two years, but we still think about the wonderful friendships that we had in Lubbock. Our love and prayers are with you and your family.

I got to know Jocelyn when I volunteered with her group at AHG. I will always remember her sweet bubbly personality; always helpful and a friend to all the other girls. She was certainly a joy to know and she will be dearly missed. I'm praying God's comfort for you and your family. I'm so very very sorry for your loss.
