Obituary

Jo Tyson passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 48 years at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.

Jo was born on December 19, 1970, and placed in her parent’s arms, Willis and Patsy Tyson, when she was 6 weeks old. She was the light of her parent’s life and was definitely a “daddy’s girl”. Jo graduated from Dunbar High School as well as Draughon’s Business College. She was experienced in computer programming as well as repair. Jo liked “tinkering” on cars and motorcycles. She loved her grandchildren and was a kind and loving friend.

Survivors include her mother, Patsy Smith Tyson, Michael Shawn Tyson; four grandchildren, McKayla, Aylavia, Lyric, Achilies; and brother, Mike Tyson and wife, Dollie.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willis Nelson Tyson,

Jo left this life too early; she will be greatly missed.
