Jo Ann Higgins

Jo Ann (Paulk) Higgins went to be with her Savior on February 7, 2020. The family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 14, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. We will celebrate her life of 84 years at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel. Friends are invited to share memories and expressions of sympathy for the family to cherish in the area below the obituary.Jo Ann was born on September 19, 1935 in Longview, Texas to Glen and Carrie Paulk. The family moved to Lubbock, Texas when she was two years old. Jo grew up in Lubbock and later attended cosmetology school. She married Harvey Lee Howell on October 30, 1958 and moved to Slaton, Texas,  where they raised three children. They were married thirty-five years. Her husband Harvey L Howell preceded Jo Ann in death in 1993. On June 3, 1999, Jo Ann married Marshall Worth Higgins. They were married 21 years and lived in Lubbock. Jo Ann was an active member of Trinity Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing dominoes and entertaining family and friends.Survivors include her husband, Marshall Higgins ; son, Les (Paige) Howell; two daughters, Carrie Scott, Tracy (Ron) St. Pierre; ten grandchildren, Heath Howell, Todd (Kembra) Howell, Heather Howell, Brittany (Shadd) Murphy, Gasten (Hannah Walls) Scott, Courtney St. Pierre, Reed St. Pierre, Cameron St. Pierre, Brad (Melissa) Howell, Jeff (Cassidy) Howell; two great-grandchildren, Fallon Murphy, Slade Murphy; seven step-children, Robert Higgins (deceased), Nancy Speer, David Higgins, Barry Higgins, James Higgins (deceased), Ronald (Susan) Howell, Dewayne Howell; nieces and nephews.
