Jill Jolynn Bailey Reep went to be with her Lord Jesus on January 16, 2019. A time of fellowship and remembrance is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A gathering to celebrate her life of 48 years will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019, at Monterey Church of Christ in Lubbock. The service will be officiated by Donovan Martin. Pallbearers are: Grant Appleton, Michael Bezner, Kullen Burke, Jason Featherston, Tanner Ketchersid, Mark Ramirez, Kyle Stephens, and Chuck Walton. Jill and her family are members of the First Baptist Church in Ropesville.

Jill was born on November 1, 1970 to Joe and Gayle Bailey in Dallas, Texas. She grew up in Woodway, Texas and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She graduated from Midway High School. Jill married Cody Reep on July 23, 1994 at Faith Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas. Jill received her teaching degree from Texas Tech University. She was a beloved elementary school teacher and technology director. She touched the lives of every person who entered the doors of her classroom. The majority of her career was spent at Ropes ISD. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend of the swine-showing industry in Texas and across the United States. While her family and friends are heartbroken, we are confident that she has eternal life. We will see her again in heaven. Until then, she will forever be in our hearts.

Survivors include her husband, Cody Allen Reep; children, Riley Cheyenne and Randen Luke Reep; parents, Joe and Gayle Bailey; mother-in-law, Jacque Reep; sister, Kim Neuhaus and husband, Brent; brother, Lance Bailey and wife, Pam; nephew, Mason Bailey; and niece, Meredith Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Phil Reep (father-in-law) and Shelley Reep (sister-in-law).

  11. Cody and family,

I know how your heart is grieving right now, but I hope you can find peace in knowing “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He saves those whose spirits have been crushed. (Psalm 34:18). I am certain that Jill is eternally happy and at peace. She is probably belly laughing with Shelley right now. I also know that this world is a greater place because Jill impacted it. She left her foot print as well as her heart print here. I pray you find comfort in knowing that God promises us the following in Isaiah 41:10. “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

    Our deepest condolences.

  19. I am so saddened to hear of her passing. My deepest sympathy goes to the family. How we look forward to the resurrection of our dear loved ones mentioned at John 5:28,29. Revelation 21: 4 gives us a beautiful future to look forward to when Jehovah God does away with tears, mourning, pain and death. I hope these scriptures bring some comfort during this time.
