Jesus Hernandez

The family of Jesus Hernandez is gathering for the viewing from 4-5 PM  and will recite the Holy Rosary from 5-6 PM Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A Mass celebration honoring his life of 80 years is scheduled at 10:00 AM Monday, July 3, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Catholic University Parish of Lubbock, followed by a graveside service at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. He passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. Jesus Hernandez was born September 25, 1942, to Tiburcio and Faustina Hernandez in Muzquiz, Mexico. He married Francisca Gutierrez on May 12, 1984, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lubbock, Texas. Jesus also known as Popos to his family and friends lived an adventurous life, he enjoyed his City Bus rides and always enjoyed making people laugh. He was an avid lover of his chickens, his music, lottery tickets, and most importantly his grandchildren.

Jesus is survived by his wife, Francisca Hernandez; children, Maricela (Manuel Rivera) Hernandez, Velia (Jose Luis) Alarcon, Iracema Gloria, Yadira Hernandez, Jesus (Ruth) Hernandez, Bernardo Hernandez; grandchildren, Mark Alarcon, Erika Rivera, Sarahy Alarcon, Alexander Hernandez, Jackalyn Gloria, Alexis Alarcon, Yesenia Martinez, Bernadette Hernandez, Adrian Rivera, Jessica Hernandez, Xaviar Rodriguez, Angelo Hernandez, Everarado Gloria Jr,  Matthew Hernandez, Valerie Gloria, Arabella Hernandez, Aracely Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Sophia Perez, Mateo Rodriguez; siblings, Benito Hernandez, Enrique Hernandez, Armando Hernandez, Jesus T Hernandez, Guadalupe Hernandez, San Juana Hernandez.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tiburcio, and Faustina Hernandez; son-in-law, Everardo Gloria Sr.; grandchild, Briella Hernandez; siblings, Herminia Hernandez, Napo Hernandez.
