Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Jesse passed on Friday, September 2, 2022. We invite you to view

On January 4, 1943, Jesse was born to Ramon and Guadalupe Roa in Aspermont, TX. He married Sofia
Vargas on December 26, 1967, in Del Rio, Tx. Everyone knew him as a funny guy with a load of charm that
always made time for people. He had an unrivaled style and uniqueness that manifested in everything
from his facial hair to his quick wit. His biggest prides were his children and grandchildren. As his family
continues to find his daily journaling of life’s events strewn across pages, receipts, and index cards, he
will remain front of mind, keeping us laughing til we cry. Jesse was a class act. He was a true original. He
will be dearly missed but will live on forever in each one of us.

Survivors include his wife, Sofia Roa; their children and significant others, Vanessa Reasoner, Charlie
Bayouth, Jessica Roa, Steven Fritz, Danae (Nikki) Keffler-Roa, her wife Ashley; grandchildren, Taylor
Reasoner, Bailey Keffler-Roa, Hunter Reasoner; several loving brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Guadalupe Roa.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Jesse Roa has designated Animal Services of Lubbock County or the

I share many memories with you from our soccer mom days to Second Baptist visits. Sofia, you are an amazing woman, loving your family and everyone you meet, I didn't really know your husband, but I am sure he was a kind and loving husband because he was married to you. Dear Sofi, My heart is with you ..how quickly life passes. My memory of you all as such a beautiful young couple seems like only yesterday. As one who has walked the widow's path please know my thoughts will remain through these days ahead.
