Jerry lived 72 wonderful years and died on Friday, March 10, 2023. Jerry Wayne Webster was born October 13, 1950, to Robert, Jr., and Mildred (Colburn) Webster in Tuscaloosa, AL. Jerry grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. Upon graduating from Woodlawn High School in 1969, he enlisted in the Navy, where he served as an electrician until his discharge in 1973. Following his discharge, he lived in Georgia till moving to Texas, where he attended and graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 1981 with a B.A. in Criminology. Jerry served on the Lubbock Police Department for 10 years. He then joined the Tahoka Police Department where he served as Chief of Police from 1989 to 1995, then served as the Tahoka City Administrator from 1995 till his retirement in January 2021. He married Wanda Jean McGill on June 16, 2012, on Padre Island National Seashore, in Texas.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Wanda Jean Webster; children, Jerry (Lindsay) Webster, Jr., Jonathan Webster, Kelly (Jason) McKay, Brooke Ersland, Kathryn (Wesley) Wertman, Adrian (Abigail) Webster, Jeremy Ersland, and Alexander (Bethany) Webster, grandchildren, Christian Webster, Jordan Arnold, Aidan Webster, Bryson Jenkins, Aaron Ham, Bailey Webster, Adrian McKay, Macie McKay, Aiden Wertman, Anniston Wertman, Graham Webster, Baby Girl Webster, Kynleigh Webster, and Kaston Webster; sisters, Phyllis Taylor, and Barbara (John) Dipiazza; brothers, John Webster and Don (Lynette) Webster.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Jr., and Loretta Webster; and brothers, O.B. Sparks, Jr., Robert Larry Webster, and Ron Webster.
