A service to celebrate 78 years of life for Jerry “JR” Richardson, is scheduled at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, followed by a time of fellowship with family and friends. Jerry Weldon Richardson was born August 7, 1944, in Lubbock, TX. He married Bobbye Peek on October 3, 1992, in Lubbock, Texas. Jerry worked in retail for many years for Payless Shoes where he was the manager in Lubbock and district manager in Arizona. Moving back to Lubbock he became manager of Radio Shack for 26 years till his retirement. His knowledge and love for movies and music was inspiring to all that knew him, he passed this love on to his daughter. He had an amazing talent for writing songs and poems and his perfect words on cards were unbelievable. He was an emotional man that did not shy away from showing his love for the ones he cared about through his words; hugs and I love you’s. Jerry/Daddy/Papa will be missed deeply but we all know this isn’t goodbye its just see you later.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Bobbye Richardson; daughter, Lisa Campbell (Baby); son-in-law, Scott Campbell; grandchildren, Tasha (Jonathan) Garcia, J’Cody (Lindsey) Campbell, and Cassi (Kyle) Fields; great-grandchildren, Brylee, Brantley, Cooper, Jaxson, Harlee, Tru, Campbell, and Sandler; step-children, Devin (Stacy) Peek, Darren Peek, and Tiffany Kahlich; step-grandchildren, Kali Peek, Kori Peek, Carter Peek, Mason (Kayla) Kahlich, Addison Kahlich; Ileiegh, Alexa, Casin; sister, Sharron Rice.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Richardson and Audrielia Pierce; a sister, Betty Suttle; and a brother, Billy Richardson.
