Jerry Donald “Don” Stone

The family of Jerry Donald “Don” Stone will host a gathering of family and friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.  Graveside services to celebrate Don’s 82 years of life will be at 2:30 PM in the City of Lubbock Cemetery following the visitation. Jerry Donald “Don” Stone was born December 20, 1940, to Jesse and Minia (Ruckman) Stone in Davenport, TX. He married Dorothy Roberts on December 16, 1959, in Clovis, NM.

Don was a beloved husband, father and grandad. He had a quick wit and a good sense of humor. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He was a tried-and-true Dallas Cowboy fan, win or lose.

Don retired from TX-DOT after 36 years of service.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the ladies of the Phoenix House, for all the care that he received during his stay.

Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, Dorothy Stone, children, Steven (MaLinda) Stone, and Jodi (Robert) Dominguez; seven grandchildren, SaVanna (Chuck) Cowart, Tyson (Katie) Thompson, Joshua (Aaryn) Thompson, Timothy Stone, Mitchell Stone, Zachary Dominguez, and Nicholas Dominguez; and seven great-grandchildren, Cannon Walker, Zoie Walker, Georgia Thompson, Stone Thompson, Ty Bennett Thompson, Brogan Thompson, and Connor Thompson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Louis Stone.
