Jerry Don Anderson was born on June 8, 1944, to the late Leon and Cathrine (Winton) Anderson in Lubbock. In 1965, Jerry entered the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. On January 22, 1976, he married Madgelene “Madge” Lamberson. Jerry worked as a Sign Supervisor for TxDot, retiring after thirty years. Jerry was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 1327. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Madge Anderson; three children, Vernon Whipple, Jr. and wife Pamela, Melody Smith, and Deborah Whipple and husband David Stephenson; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Melba Bryant; three nephews, Doug Bryant, Randy Anderson, and Kyle Anderson and a niece, Tammy Hamersley; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
