Jeannie Dell King was born to H.D. And Hope King on June 11, 1949, in Muleshoe, TX. She graduated from Muleshoe High in 1967. She attended the University of Oklahoma and was a Sooner for Life! She had a 30-year career in education in Midwest City, OK, where she taught science and coached girls’ basketball. After retiring in Oklahoma, Jeannie moved to Ruidoso, NM, and began her second teaching career at the Mescalero Apache High School where she counseled students on Educational opportunities beyond high school. She treasured this experience. For health reasons, she returned to Oklahoma where she lived until May of this year. She recently moved to Raider Ranch in Lubbock to be closer to family.Survivors include her BROTHER, Max (Pat) King; nephews, Brett (Ginger) King, Lance (Sylvia) King, Kevin (Chelle) King, and Phillip King; nieces, Angie (John) Shimp, Saleana (Woody) Saige, and Corinna (Jim) ThompsonShe was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Andy King; and sister, Geneva Hemmes.A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Ruidoso.
