Eva Jeanne Martin, 86, of Lubbock, Texas, gracefully entered heaven on December 14, 2022
Jeanne was born to J. Lonnie and Rayma Patterson on December 27, 1935, in Lubbock, Texas. Jeanne attended Lubbock High School, where she was secretary of student council, a member of the Pom Pom squad, in multiple beauty pageants and dance recitals, played the piano, and was a girl scout.
She married Joe Frank Martin on September 13, 1955. They built a beautiful life in Lubbock, Texas. She is survived by her brother Robert Patterson and his wife, Diana. Her children, Joe Martin and wife Patty, Mark Martin and wife Isabell, Melissa Cameron and husband Doug, Joe Frank Martin Jr and wife Angela, Patti Martin Hensley and husband Ronnie, LouAnn Martin, Juli Martin Tillery and husband Dave, Farrell Martin and wife Deana, Freeman Martin and wife Shannon, Heather Martin Winn and husband Lan, Bridget Martin, Hedge Martin and wife Amy, Holly Martin Whitfield and husband, Rex, 40 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by parents J. Lonnie and Rayma Patterson, husband Joe Frank Martin, sister Joey Westlake, and grandson Leit Martin.
Jeanne’s passion was her family. She was an avid New Deal Lion and loved Texas Tech Football. She loved family functions and holidays.
Jeanne was the owner and operator of Hippie Chick in the South Plains Mall for over 25 years. She had a strong work ethic and was Business Woman of the year. She loved going on business trips, cruises, and to Las Vegas.
Jeanne was a member of Trinity church for over 20 years. She will forever be remembered for her grace, beauty, and loving heart.
