September 16, 1960 - May 28, 2018

Jaylee Hightower passed away Monday, May 28, 2018. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 57 years on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel. 

Jaylee was born on September 16, 1960, to Kenneth and Jay Springer McClanahan in Spur, Texas. On November 17, 1990, Jaylee married the love of her life, Paul Hightower at Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock, Texas. She was employed as an accountant for Ron Fleming and Children’s Hope for many years.

She cherished her family and loved spending time with them. Jaylee especially loved being a “Mimi.” She was a very loving and giving person and will be missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Paul A. Hightower; children, Eddie Hightower; and Krysta Hurt and husband, Samuel; grandchildren, Cory Hegdal; and Celia Grace Hurt; siblings, Kathy Snelson and husband, Larry; brother, Glenn McClanahan; nephew, Tyler Snelson; and niece, Kendra Snelson. She is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Olin and Jay Carolyn McClanahan.
