Janet was a true servant of the Lord and always led by example in her roles as a daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was born on December 3, 1951, to Homer and Yvonne Stoudt in Powell, WY. Janet raised two children Amanda and Cheryl. Janet worked for Lubbock ISD for 35 years, and was a long-time faithful member of South Crest Baptist Church, and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 51 years.
Janet will be remembered for many reasons, but her family and friends will agree that her kindness and the willingness to always help others was her strongest attribute. She enjoyed quilting, spending time with sorority sisters, and playing with her grandson Colton. Janet’s greatest pride and joy was her family.
Survivors include her children, Cheryl (Cory) McMahan, Amanda Short (Robert Thomas); grandson, Colton Thomas; brother, Victor (Kathy) Stoudt.
She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Stoudt; mother, Yvonne Stoudt.
