Janet Kay Julian passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 4 to 6 PM Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 73 years on Monday, April 23, 2018, at 11 AM at Lake Ridge Chapel, followed by a committal service at Floydada Cemetery in Floydada, Texas at 1:30 PM.
Janet was born on August 1, 1944, to Edell and Geneva Malone Moore in Abilene, Texas. After graduating from Floydada High School, she attended West Texas State University from 1963 through 1966, where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
In 1970, Janet and her husband, Bruce Everist Julian, moved to Perryton, Texas, where God blessed them with two sons: Clay, born in 1973 and Wade, in 1975.
Janet’s time in Perryton revolved around raising her two sons and doing volunteer work as a member of the First Baptist Church of Perryton. Her mission work took her to Brazil in an effort to build a new church and lead the community to know our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was also active in aiding the people of Washington State after the eruption of Mount St. Helens in 1980, acting as a care giver to those in need.
Janet began a twenty year career with Dillard’s, Inc., in 1986 as a sales associate. Her employment with Dillard’s was rewarding as she was able to make new friends, all the while, continuing her service within the community.
Janet lived a life of servitude. As she entered into the final days of her life, family and friends were by her side, comforting her, knowing that she would soon be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
