Jamie May was born on June 24, 1973 to James and May Moore in Midland, Texas. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University. Jamie was employed as a case worker with the State of Texas Child Protective Services for 17 years. Being an advocate for others was one of her greatest gifts and passions. Becoming a mother to Hailey was her greatest blessing of all. She cherished her time with Hailey and made the most of every moment they had. They enjoyed baking, spending time at the beach, and doing arts and crafts together. She taught others to live in the present and she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.Survivors include her daughter, Hailey Rose Whitley; brother, Jimmy Moore and wife, Sharon; sister, Melissa Moore; mother, May Moore; father and step-mother, James Bart, Jr. and Brenda Moore. She is also survived by Hailey’s father Brad Ray Whitley; nephews Joseph McLaren, Jimmy Moore, IV, Dylan Hill, Jackson and Hayden Whitley; and niece, Madison Hill.
