James Kumm

January 21, 1944 - May 10, 2022

On January 21, 1944, James Kumm was born to Ernest and Evelyn Kumm in Oak Park, IL.  On May 10, 2022, James entered eternal life.James Ray Kumm was a devoted father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He loved well and loved harder than anyone we’ve known, even from afar.  He was an honorable military soldier, Army Strong.  He wrote Air Defense Artillery missile manuals and fired missiles. When he retired, he continued working with Civil Service.  He retired with 49 years of service as Master Sergeant James Ray Kumm.Survivors include his children, Dana (Michael) Gerold and Shannon (Troy) Dunson; and grandchildren, Darrion Kumm, Hannah Gerold, Braden Gerold, and McKenna Dunson.
