I am so sorry to hear about David, he was a great man and a great Boss just like his Dad! it’s been over 30 years so no one probably even remembers me but I worked at joyland both as a ride operator and maintenance when the park was closed working with David was always a pleasure,I feel like he taught me a lot! He was a great man just like his Dad Mr. Dean, it was a very sad day when Mr Dean passed away and then mrs Dean passed and now David! It’s truly Sad! It’s like losing Family!! I was just a kid when I started working there but the Deans left a lasting impression on me, I often think back to my time at joyland and the Deans they were always so nice to me MrDean even gave me my Nickname, Because there were too many John’s working there Mr. Dean Started calling me J.R. And it stuck! David’s wife Kristi Even took me down to get my Drivers license and let me use her car! David was very likable and will be missed!! To Kristi and the rest of the Deans I’m truly sorry for your loss!! Deepest condolences, J.R.

What a legacy of fun David leaves! Great memories of my friend at his work, but our playground, truly a joy land! His positive energy in the face of challenging situations was so impressive, and I always walked away from an interaction with David feeling good about myself and the world in general! Sending love to Kristy and the boys! Praying all that joy he brought our community comes back threefold to you guys!
