Hubert Lee Marshall, “Herb,” 83 of Lubbock, passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2022. Herb was born on June 10, 1938, in Clarendon, Texas. He served honorably as a Staff Sergeant in the Marines for 22 years, participating in the Vietnam War. Following his service in the military, he graduated from Sul Ross University with a master’s degree and served 20 years as a junior high industrial technology teacher.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 35 years, Linda Walsh Marshall, his brother Robert Marshall, one daughter Amy Slayton (David), stepson Bryan DeVille, and grandchildren Zachary Slayton and Emma Slayton. Herb will be missed by his loyal canine companions Kodee and Bonnee.
Graveside services will be held on March 9, at 2:00 pm at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow.
