The family of Henry Donald “Mo” Turner will celebrate his life of 86 years at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Sunday, January 31, 2021. In support of the health of his family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the service. The service will be live-streamed here on this page where you are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy.On August 1, 1934, Henry was born to HM and Arless Turner in Matador, Texas where he lived before the family moved to Lubbock when he was about a year old. He married Margaret Stephenson on February 8, 1963, and was married until her death on March 31, 2017.Don (“Mo” as he was also known) was drafted into the Army in September 1958 and served in Fort Lewis, Washington serving on the rifle team as a gunner receiving an honorable discharge in September 1964.“Mo” was an over-the-road truck driver for over 50 years making numerous trips across the US, but primarily in Texas, sometimes taking trips to Houston every day of the week.The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Hospice of Lubbock, specifically his nurse Sharea. Thank you for loving him and supporting us while you provided the most excellent care for him.Survivors include his daughter, Dana Kim (Charles) Babbitt; four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; brother Glenn (Annette) Turner; along with numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, HM and Arless; his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Rhonda Gray and Malinda Turner; a sister Linda Kohler and her husband Richard Kohler.
