Hellen Hurst Earl passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 82 years on Monday, May 7, 2018, at 11 AM at Lake Ridge Chapel. 

Hellen Hurst was born on December 30, 1935, to John and Vergie Coker Fennell in Eric, Oklahoma. She was a fun-loving, outgoing person, who never met a stranger. She always brightened up the room, when she made an entrance.

Survivors include her husband, Jackie Douglas Earl; children, Lesha Shawnee Dugger and husband, Gary; Britt “BK” Hurst and wife, Kenda; grandchildren, Amber Waldmann and husband, Phillip; Ashley Bishop and husband, Dr. Justin; Kenlee Hurst and wife, Lacye; Brittnye Davis and husband, Aaron; and Chad Dugger; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Trevor Waldmann; Avey and Riley Bishop; Annabeth Davis; Ryan and Ann Dugger; siblings, John Fennell, Jr., Mary Manuel and Rosa Bolen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Roy and Vergie Fennell.

Aunt Hellen was very special. When I would see her Cadillac sitting in Grandma’s driveway, I could not walk across the street fast enough to see her. She called me ‘Sugar’ and ‘Darlin’ and her favorite expression was, “Hot Dogs”! She made me feel special and I thought she hung the moon. She was bueatiful with her big dimples that exaggerated her dazzling smile. She was always proud of her natural pearly whites and deservingly so, because she could light up a room with her smile. She taught me so many things (how to wear makeup and shop, she always took me shopping) and I admired her like no other. The last time I saw her, the last words I heard her say were: “I love you all.” I believed her; she had a loving heart and she loved her family dearly.
