Gilbert Acuna passed away on November 24, 2019. We will gather to recite the Holy Rosary on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 7:00 pm, at Lake Ridge Chapel. We will celebrate his life of 58 years at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.Gilbert Acuna was born on November 26, 1960, to Eliverio and Virginia Acuna in Slaton, Texas. He attended Wilson High School. Gilbert was a loving son, brother, and uncle and enjoyed spending time with family and friends cheering on Texas Tech and the Dallas Cowboys. He especially enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing and golf outings. Survivors include his mother, Virginia Acuna; nine sisters, Sofia Solis, Lucy Salinas and husband, Carlos; Anita Trevino and husband, Domingo; Gloria Bueno and husband, Nate; Irma Estrada and husband, Urban; Patsy Bueno and husband, Joe; Melissa Jimenez and husband, Hoss; Sally Garcia and husband, Juan; Levenia Bueno and husband, Manuel; two brothers, Ernest Acuna and wife, Rosalinda; and Gerald Acuna; and a host of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Eliverio Cruz Acuna.
