On May 24, 1958, Gene was born to Wiley and Betty Hamm in Ypsilanti, MI. He married Ginger Holland on June 29, 1997, in Lubbock, Texas. Gene was a very talented person at everything he did in life including cooking holiday candies, woodworking in the garage to pass the time, fishing with family, or working around the house. He did everything to perfection from racing to hunting. Nothing he could not do once he put his mind to it. He loved doing things with kids and grandkids. He will hold a special place in everyone’s heart.
Survivors include his wife, Ginger Hamm; children, Tony (Cristi) Hamm, Wiley (Robyn) Hamm, Aurora (Vernon) Farthing, and Aaron (Lindsay) Beall; grandchildren, Berkeley Farthing, Adison Farthing, Elizabeth Farthing, Ethan Casey, Rebel Beckham, Shonda Adams, Kynsleigh Hamm, Kampbell Hamm, Maddyn Hamm, and Maisyn Hamm; great-grandchildren, Bentley Farthing, William Farthing, Hunter Farthing, Hendrix Farthing, and Aaron Adams; mother, Betty Hamm; and siblings, Ted Hamm and Sondra Carr.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wiley Hamm.
