Obituary
The family of Gary L. Hamar will celebrate his life of 79 years at 10:00 am on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Indiana Avenue Baptist Church. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Monday, September 27, 2021. On April 20, 1942, Gary Loyd was born to Loyd and Joan Hamar in Clovis, New Mexico. He married Dixie Bell on April 7, 1966, at Clovis, New Mexico.
Survivors include his wife, Dixie Hamar; their children, Karla (Don) Myers, Cary (Jenny) Hamar; grandchildren, Ryan Hamar, Gala Myers, Rachel Perkins, Hannah Jenkins; siblings, Tommy (Barbara) Hamar, and Don Hamar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Joan Hamar.
Memorials
The family of Gary Hamar has designated the Mission: Dignity, a ministry for retired Southern Baptist ministers, workers, and widows for memorial contributions donated in his memory.
