Francis “Frank” Gilbert St. Pierre, 88, of Lubbock, TX passed away on June 23, 2024. Frank was born in Brunswick, Maine on January 24, 1936, to August and Irene (née Dargie) St. Pierre.
Frank was a talented artist and armed with a degree from Rhode Island School of Design in Architecture, Frank rose to prominence as a Principal Architect at Stahl and Associates. His work ethic, integrity and communication skills made him highly sought after as the Principal Architect on such notable projects as the Faulkner Hospital, Beth Israel Hospital Additional Wing, and Logan Airport North Terminal in Boston, Massachusetts. His innate ability to work with people at all levels, from custodians to corporate presidents, made him very well respected.
Known for his sharp wit and ready sense of humor, Frank was often the life of the party. A true gentleman, Frank was chivalrous and generous to everyone around him. Frank loved football, camping, game nights with family and friends, Western movies, and golfing. He was an avid New England Patriot’s fan and later in life became a fan of the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Alabama Crimson Tide. He is well known for his big breakfasts, “superior sausages” and doodles and paintings. Frank loved his pick-up truck and tractor, carpentry projects and fixing things.
Frank was most proud of his military service and his family. His service shaped his character, and his love and guidance shaped his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Pauline of 65 years; son James St. Pierre (Wendy); daughters: Lauren Gollahon (Colette Solpietro), Lynn St. Pierre, and Susan St. Pierre; grandchildren: Joseph Mellone, Thomas Mellone (Stephanie), Ashley Glode, Katherine Gollahon, Cassey Gill (Adam), Roy Gollahon, Simon St. Pierre and Ethan St. Pierre; great grandchildren: William and Maxwell Mellone, and Boston Gill; brothers: Forest St. Pierre, James St. Pierre (Olga), Barney Freedline.
He is preceded in death by his parents August and Irene St. Pierre; brothers: August St. Pierre and Barry Freedline; sister: Dolly Rice.
