Obituary

The family of Francis “Frankie” Wise will gather to recite the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers followed by a time of fellowship and remembrance. Mass will be celebrated in honor of Frankie’s life at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Saint Elizabeth’s Catholic University Parish in Lubbock, TX followed by a luncheon in the Hall. Francis Scott, Frankie Wise, 33, passed away peacefully in his mother’s arms, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Frankie was born June 29, 1988, in Lubbock, TX, to Frank and Patricia Wise. Frankie was raised in Lubbock, TX, graduated from Coronado High School in 2008, and was attending LCU. Frankie was involved in 4H where he won the first-place belt buckle for raising rabbits. Frankie was full of life and was always a joy to everyone who knew him. He challenged life and accomplished every goal he set himself out to do. He was a lifelong member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, where he was an altar boy with his two older brothers. He was very involved with the youth groups for many years. He worked with Sister Jane at the Dioceses of Lubbock. He volunteered at Hospice of Lubbock. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Council 12803, along with his father. He was very proud to have been an honorary Lubbock Police Officer, graduating with the 1998 Lubbock Police Academy, Class B. This was his lifelong dream.

Those left to cherish his memory are parents, Frank and Patricia Wise; sister, Farrah Ehrbar; brothers, Michael Wise and Tony Wise (Miranda); grandmother, Nancy Whisner; aunts, Peggy Webb (Frank), Donna Perry, Lesley Rundell (Donnie); uncles, John Whisner, Glenn Wise (Cathey), Charles Whisner (Sandra), Wes Wise; nephew, Nolan Ehrbar; niece, Ella Wise; and numerous cousins.

Frankie was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Chuck Whisner and Sidney L. Wise; grandmother, Hedi Wise; aunt, Wanda Whisner; and cousin, John Whisner, Jr.
