Frances Louise was born on January 21, 1943, to Claude and Ella Mae Tinsley Prudot in El Paso, Texas. She attended Hobbs High School and graduated in 1961. Frances earned her license as a Radiologic Technologist in 1963 from Lea General Hospital in Hobbs. She later earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Radiologic Technology from Midwestern State University. Frances started her career as a Radiologic Technologist at Lea County Hospital. She married Larry Bly and settled in Lubbock in 1971. Frances accepted a position as an instructor at South Plains College and helped pioneer the Radiologic Technology program. She served as the Program Director for 22 years, then went on to further her education at Baylor University Medical Center. While at Baylor, she was the Program Director of Radiologic Technology. Frances returned to South Plains College and retired following 30 years of service in 2005. She served on the advisory board at SPC, and is a member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists. Frances’ legacy will live on through the many lives she touched as an instructor. She helped around 300 students receive their registry and license. Many of those students work in the South Plains area and around the country. On November 5, 2007, Frances married her lifelong friend, Jerry Bob Warren, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Frances enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, friends and watching her grandchildren in their activities. She was quick with a joke and always had a good story to tell. Frances displayed courage, strength, and grace throughout her life despite her challenges. She is dearly loved and will be forever missed. Survivors include her children, Patrick Bly and wife, Kellee, Michael Bly and wife, Kim, Melissa Priest, and Sheri Bly; grandchildren, Amber Knox and husband, Jeff, Cortnee Peterson and husband, Garland, Hailey and Ella Priest, Teniell, Aaron, Ryan, and Gregory Bly, and Adam Berns; great-grandchildren, Sydnee and Sallee Peterson, Jordyn and Charlee Knox; siblings, JoAnn Butler and husband, Leo, and Mickey Gregg and husband, Jay; and 11 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Albert Francis and Ella Mae Prudot; and husband, Jerry Bob Warren. Please make donations in her name to the Metastatic Breast Cancer Network.
