Evelyn Swissler, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, peacefully left this world on December 18, 2024, at the age of 80. Born in Camden, NJ, on December 25, 1943, Evelyn was a radiant spirit whose warmth and love touched all who knew her.

A dedicated housewife and a passionate supporter of her family, Evelyn cherished the simple joys of life. She is remembered for her love of the beach, where the sun and surf brought her peace and happiness. Her commitment to her family was unwavering; she found immense joy in their gatherings, celebrating every milestone and creating countless cherished memories.

Evelyn worked with the North Texas State Soccer Association in the realm of risk management, where her organizational skills and care for others shone brightly. She dedicated over 40 years to youth soccer, and was the recipient of many awards. Evelyn was the United States youth soccer administrator of the year in 2007, and she was inducted into the North Texas State Soccer Association hall of fame in 2015. However, it was her roles as a mother to her three sons—Daniel, David and Michael Swissler—and grandmother to her nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, that defined her legacy. Evelyn’s family was her pride and joy, and she will be deeply missed by all of them, who brought her endless delight.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Swissler.

Ev and I were life-long BFF’s. Along with our other dear friend, Judie, the neighbors called us the 3 Musketeers, we were always together. Our married lives moved us away from each other but we always connected, mail, birthdays, Christmas cards and thankfully modern technology. Ev and I were able to spend time together these last few years. A treasure I will carry with me. Love you EV. My deepest sympathies to Dan, David and Michael and the entire Swissler family.❤️ Dorrie

Evelyn was a lovely, caring lady who was loved and respected by so many people. The world was blessed to have her. I have so many memories of great times we had in the soccer world…. great memories of working side-by-side with her at so many meetings and local tournaments. I will always cherish our many travels to regional and national tournaments. So many memories to keep her alive in my heart. She was always a level-headed and calming presence and will be missed by so many people. I am honored to have had her as a friend. God Speed, Evelyn.

I met Evelyn on a couple of occasions and she was an extremely lovely woman each time. I've been fortunate to know, work for and work with her sons, David and Danny, as well as Justin and Jordan over the years. I know she helped raised some very hard working men and some very bright and beautiful granddaughters. Peace on the Swissler Family.

Prayers to the family, Evelyn was the greatest friend I could ever have asked for. Evelyn was my mentor at North Texas State Soccer and alphas my back and a great traveling companion. We shared so many wonderful memories together and had so many wonderful times together. She wine missed by many but she is now with Dan and no longer in pain. She was the sweetest lady. I worked with her at soccer. She was always worried about me. I was having back problems and she would yell at me for just taping a piece of paper on the wall..she would say sit down don't work so hard...lol...she was a sweetie. Prayers for the family and the soccer world she will be missed.
