On July 15, 1939, Evan R. was born to Richard and Margory Murray in Vernal, UT. He married Soki Valenzuela on December 12, 2003 in Las Vegas, NV.

Survivors include his wife, Soki Murray; daughter, Tonya (Grady) Phillips, step-son Chris (Laura) Garcia, step-daughter, Lori (Lalo) Alvarado; sister, Jerile (Clayton) Southam; grandchildren, Lynzi (Mark) Hathcock, Chet (Lacey) Murray, Paige (Coby) Adair, Nikki Hemmingson, Andrea Alvarado, Jessica (Dr. Robert) Johnston, Joshua (Blanca) Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Nicholas (Megan) Garcia, Roxy Alvarado; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by father, Richard Murray ; mother, Margory Murray; son, Rod Murray; sister, Marva Voorhies; sister, Darlene Bowden.
