Sarah Ellen Fry passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017. She was a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who is deeply loved by her family. Over the years, she was also a Girl Scout leader, realtor, career counselor, and library and senior center volunteer. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, reading, fishing, and spending time with family. Ellen was born on January 18, 1946 to James and Mary Porter in Houston, Texas. She grew up in Pasadena, Texas and attended Stephen F. Austin State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education.

Ellen is survived by her loving husband, David W. Fry of Lubbock; daughters, Mary Fox of Cedar Creek, Texas; Sarah Fisher and husband Steve of Kuna, Idaho; and Cecelia Cockerell and husband Wesley of Gardendale, Texas; son, Jonathan Fry and wife Katie of Fritch, Texas; grandchildren, Jessica Fisher, and James and Sallie Cockerell; sister Carolyn Foster and husband Pat of Plano, Texas; and a multitude of other family and friends.
