Wayne and Virgie Arnold welcomed Elaine into this world in 1968 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, as their only child. She graduated Plainview High School in 1987. Following high school, she studied Medical Transcription at ACC, where she graduated in 1993. She married the love of her life, Jeff M. Wilson, and they shared a deep love and friendship for 23 years. Elaine was known for her ease in frequent conversation with friends, neighbors, and even strangers. She possessed a contagious and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life, she maintained a vivacious and relaxed demeanor that won the friendship and hearts of many and a deep, personal relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and light-heartedness, and unwavering love for God will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff M. Wilson of Lubbock; three children, J.P. and wife Richelle Wilson of Lubbock, Keylee and husband Aaron Slough of Fort Worth, and Katherine of Lubbock; her parents, Wayne and Virgie Arnold of Plainview; sisters-in-law, Shellie and husband Tony Snook and Jamie and husband Joe Lara; and four grandchildren, Harper, Holden, Ellis, and Hayden.

  5. Jeff & Katie, and all the Wilson Family: You are, and will be, in the thoughts and prayers of all of us in your extended family of the Texas Seed Trade Association. Elaine’s leadership, energy, and enthusiasm for the organization and its activities helped sustain the association in ways no one else could have done – and no one else did. She was an enduring “First Lady” who believed her responsibilities continued regardless of calendar dates. She lit up every room she entered and her presence will be sorely missed and always remembered. God bless you.
