Edna Marie Adams passed away on March 15, 2020. We will celebrate her life of 72 years at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at the Idalou Cemetery. Friends are invited to share memories and expressions of sympathy for the family to cherish in the area below the obituary.

Edna was born on March 2, 1948, to Bernard and Veda Wolfe in Sligo, PA.

Survivors include her children, Rene Ellison and husband Cooper of Petersburg; Jill Edwards of Wolfforth; and Brin Lee Adams of Lubbock; eight grandchildren: Brandon Smith and his wife Alexandra, Aaron Voight and his wife Molly, Chance Cook and his fianceé Cassie, Trace Cook, Kason Edwards, Colin King, Mary Adams, Luke Adams; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Peggy Thomas and husband Allen Bury, III.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Earl Glenn Fye; and her beloved husband, Gerry Wayne Adams.


The family of Edna Adams has designated the COPD Foundation, the American Lung Association, or the Children’s MIracle Network for memorial contributions donated in her memory.

  1. I heard something the other day that went something like “You can’t make new old friends” and that struck home. Met my BFF in 1987. Love you forever my friend.

  2. I was so sorry to hear about Edna passing! She has always been the sweetest lady to everyone! You will miss your partner in crime on all the trips you got to take together! That was such a blessing because you have the best storage of memories from them. Love you all and God bless you during this time!

    Edna left long lasting memories with everyone that knew her. She was such a hard working woman who loved her family and her Grandkids and great Grandkids.

    I can’t believe that’s she is gone .I meet her a sometime last year when I painted her house in Petersburg. I told her she looked good for her age I would of never thought she was 70. She was a sweet women .
