Earnestine Madding passed away January 10, 2019. A time of fellowship is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 86 years at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to share memories and expressions of sympathy, and view Earnestine’s life tribute at www.memorialdesigners.net.Earnestine was born on April 10, 1932 to Ernest and Juanita (Dossey) Mitchell in Lamesa, TX. In 1957, Earnestine moved to Lubbock. She married Earl Madding on Feb. 1, 1953. She was a charter member of the Cooper Church of Christ and a current member of Kings Ridge Church of Christ. Earnestine was a talented seamstress and made many of her own and her daughters clothing. She was an avid bowler and a member of a Women’s Bowling League She enjoyed traveling whether it was to ball games, golf tournaments, visiting national parks, Branson, Memphis or Nashville.She is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Kenneth MaddingSurvivors include her husband, Earl Madding; daughters, Carolyn (Wayne) Nelson of Slaton; Susie (Dan) Bray of Brownfield; and Arlene (Bob) Mears of Lubbock; 9 grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Lavon (Jim) Tuckness of Paul, ID; Bob (Jo) Mitchell of Lamesa; and numerous cousins.
